We all want that perfect life organization system that just works. So with the wonders of new technology I had to ask – ‘Can chat GPT organize your life?’ Let’s see what it produced when I tried to ask it to be my personal chat GPT schedule maker.

The prompts I used

I was doing a general test here, there is nothing too crazy or detailed. Here are what things I wanted to get from chat GPT:

  • Morning Routine
  • Nighttime Routine
  • Weekly Schedule
  • Cleaning Routine

I gave some personal details to start with.

I’m a 42 [nearly] year old woman who lives in a two bedroom apartment with a husband and a needy cat.

Then I went on to ask for specifics.

For each specific I will give a little review of what I think.

Morning and Evening routine

So if you wonder can chat gpt help with scheduling?

Yes it can and that is exactly what it produces for me here with this morning and evening routine.

One thing I asked was what time should I get up and go to bed. It replied:

Assuming you need about 8 hours of sleep per night, a suggested bedtime for you would be around 10:30pm-11:00pm, and wake-up time would be around 6:30am-7:00am.

I asked it to give me a one hour morning routine that included reading, planning my day and feeding my cat. It replied:

  1. Wake up at a consistent time each day: Try to wake up at the same time every day, even on weekends, to establish a consistent sleep schedule.
  2. Hydrate: Start your day with a glass of water to hydrate your body and kickstart your metabolism.
  3. Stretch or exercise: Do some light stretching or exercise to get your blood flowing and energize your body for the day ahead. Even a few minutes of movement can help.
  4. Feed your cat: Take a few minutes to feed your cat and provide fresh water. This will help ensure that your furry friend is taken care of and happy.
  5. Read: Set aside 10-15 minutes each morning to read something inspiring or informative. This could be a book, an article, or even a daily meditation.
  6. Plan your day: Take 10-15 minutes to review your schedule for the day and create a to-do list. Prioritize the most important tasks and allocate time for them.
  7. Meditate: Spend 10-15 minutes meditating or practicing mindfulness. This can help reduce stress and increase focus and productivity throughout the day.
  8. Get ready: Take the remaining time to get ready for your day, whether that means showering, getting dressed, or having breakfast.

I asked it to give me a good nighttime routine for my circumstances. It replied:

  1. Prepare for bed: About 30 minutes before you plan to sleep, start winding down by turning off electronics, dimming the lights, and getting into comfortable sleepwear.
  2. Take care of hygiene: Brush your teeth and floss to help maintain good oral hygiene. You can also take a shower or wash your face if you prefer.
  3. Read or journal: Spend some time reading a book or writing in a journal. This can help you relax and unwind before sleep.
  4. Practice relaxation techniques: Consider practicing relaxation techniques like meditation or deep breathing exercises to help calm your mind and body before bed.
  5. Stretch or do yoga: You can also try doing some gentle stretches or yoga poses to help release tension in your body and promote relaxation.
  6. Set up the bedroom for sleep: Make sure the bedroom is cool, dark, and quiet to promote better sleep. You may want to use blackout curtains, earplugs, or a white noise machine to create a peaceful environment.
  7. Practice gratitude: Before turning off the lights, take a few moments to reflect on things you are grateful for. This can help shift your focus to positive thoughts and feelings before sleep.
  8. Sleep: Aim to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep each night to help support overall health and well-being.

My Review:

I don’t think it did too bad.

These are fairly vague answers but it’s pretty spot on for a woman like me.

I do think that this morning routine would take me longer than an hour, especially if I wanted to include the shower and other extras, but not too bad chat GPT.

Maybe you can become my digital life planner.

Weekly Schedule

I asked chat GPT to do a weekly schedule for me. I said that I would like to do 15 hours of volunteer work, 12 hours of normal work and 10 hours of house work. Here was the response:

Monday:

  • 9am-1pm: Normal work (4 hours)
  • 2pm-5pm: Volunteer work (3 hours)

Tuesday:

  • 9am-1pm: Normal work (4 hours)
  • 2pm-5pm: Volunteer work (3 hours)

Wednesday:

  • 9am-1pm: Normal work (4 hours)
  • 2pm-5pm: Volunteer work (3 hours)

Thursday:

  • 9am-1pm: Normal work (4 hours)
  • 2pm-5pm: Housework (3 hours)

Friday:

  • 9am-1pm: Normal work (4 hours)
  • 2pm-5pm: Housework (3 hours)

Saturday:

  • 10am-12pm: Volunteer work (2 hours)
  • 1pm-4pm: Housework (3 hours)

Sunday:

  • 10am-12pm: Volunteer work (2 hours)
  • 1pm-4pm: Housework (3 hours)

Total hours:

  • Normal work: 20 hours
  • Volunteer work: 10 hours
  • Housework: 10 hours

My Review:

So this is where I felt like the chat GPT life organizer failed me. There are some things I liked but I cannot say that it will successfully work as a digital life planner.

One thing I liked was that it kept things simple. I like that it gave me basically a simple morning block and afternoon block of time and didn’t fill in loads of fluff. That’s a real plus for the chat gpt schedule maker.

What I didn’t like is that as you can see from the total hours at the end, it didn’t really fulfill my request.

Now I didn’t argue with chat GPT, I’m sure if you did, it would come up with a revised version.

But when you want to organize your life you have specifics and so that’s a basic for me – Chat GPT – Why didn’t you listen? LOL.

Cleaning routine

When asking ‘can chat GPT organize your life?’, I could have gone through many different areas, like work, kids etc. But I decided to ask for a cleaning routine, because we all need to clean right?

I really wanted to use chat gpt for daily tasks and see – could we make a comple chat gpt cleaning routine?

So for a two bedroom apartment here is the response:

Certainly! Here’s a weekly cleaning schedule for your two-bedroom apartment based on the tasks I listed:

Monday:

  • Daily tasks
  • Dust all surfaces
  • Sweep or vacuum all floors

Tuesday:

  • Daily tasks
  • Clean bathrooms

Wednesday:

  • Daily tasks
  • Clean kitchen

Thursday:

  • Daily tasks
  • Mop hard floors

Friday:

  • Daily tasks
  • Change bed sheets and wash linens

Saturday:

  • Weekly/monthly tasks (rotate as needed)
  • Deep clean appliances

Sunday:

  • Weekly/monthly tasks (rotate as needed)
  • Clean windows and window sills

So, as it said, it had already given me a list of tasks, this was when I asked to make it into a schedule.

My Review

Not bad!

Maybe a chat gpt cleaning routine is not so bad.

I think it’s a decent attempt.

Some things won’t work for me but it’s not terrible. I wouldn’t hoover the floors Monday and wait until Thursday to mop them, for example.

So, Can Chat GPT organize your life?

I once heard it said – think of chat GPT as a personal assistant, and I think it’s a good way to go.

I am not going to live my life based on this life organization system provided by chat GPT, but it does give a good foundation or new ideas that you might want to use as YOU organize your life.

I think there is potential there as a chat gpt schedule maker, but you do need to be very specific. You can also use chat gpt for daily tasks but again be specific.

Do you want to try it out?

Try Chat GPT.
