I hope I am the only one, but if you have experienced something like that, then you understand why, sometimes, we just need some quick and easy bujo theme ideas up our sleeve to get the planner we need sorted quickly.
Let us do these in sets of 5. They are a random mix.
Let’s GO!
Set 1
- Old keys
- Vaporwave
- Snowflakes
- Cakes
- Music
In each of these sets I want to give you a couple of regular ideas but a couple of surprising ideas too. The reason is that I want to give you bullet journal theme inspiration. Not just things you see all the time.
So what do you think of the idea of old keys, have you done that before?
Or vaporwave. I have done this one myself because it is a loved aesthetic of my son and so I gave it a go. I like how it turned out.
Set 2
- Coffee
- Steampunk
- Roses
- A city
- Emojis
I did a Paris theme, it was actually one of my favorite.
Another idea – emojis. Have you done it? Would you try it? I did one and it was super fun and colorful. It actually did make me smile when I saw smiling emojis on my planner pages.
I haven’t done steampunk before, but if you had a circular drawing tool, I reckon it could be quick and easy to draw some cogs.
Set 3
- Jigsaw puzzle pieces
- Cats
- Ferns
- Decorative tiles
- The 70’s
I know I keep saying this or that was my favorite one, but I actually do think my 70’s theme bullet journal was my favorite ever month in terms of theme. I think I am a bit of a 70’s girl at heart and it just spoke to me. I loved it.
Another popular one is the tiles, I have seen some beautiful versions of tiles as themes, some like the old Portuguese style tiles. But you really can be individual with this one. You could do a brick tile look too if you wanted.
Set 4
- Fruit
- Hygge
- Books
- Buildings
- Hearts
Of course if you don’t fancy the hearts, you can change that for any shape that you like. I did a heart one for a wedding anniversary month and it was really cute. I don’t generally like hearts and pink, but I made it more geometric and that suited me very well. In the end I loved it.
Hygge is the more unusual one here. You can really let you imagination go with what your version of Hygge is. You can do blankets, candles, fireplaces, books, anything that means cozy for you.
Set 5
- Space
- Chess
- Fish
- Evergreen trees
- Maps
There are lots of planet themes available for inspiration is you want to go looking. I did one which included stars, the moon and planets.
Also I mention evergreen trees, because I think they are just so easy to doodle as a bullet journal theme. But of course, you really can do any tree that you like. Check out this article. For example a lot have done beautiful versions of a cherry blossom tree. That makes a very pretty theme.
Set 6
- Sunflowers
- Jewelry
- Polka dot
- Sushi
- Zebra print
In terms of doing something easy – how easy is dots. Honestly, if you can’t think of any theme to do, just throw random dots on the page – you can do black or color – and it will be absolutely great.
But next up, I think I might just need to try the zebra print, or some other animal print. I think it could be easy enough, and be quite effective.
