The basic answer to ‘What is a customized planner?’ is: A planner that you can change the layouts and design into a specific planner that suits your needs. Do you need one? I think you do, let me try to convince you.

What is a customized planner? – The long answer.

So I already gave you the basic answer, but is there any more to it?

Yes!

A customized planner is a planner that is custom to you and fits your personal needs.

But there are variations. For example, a customized planner can be created by you, and made specifically by you for you.

But on the other hand, there are many people and companies that now offer planner customization and that can come in various forms.

Some places such as the bujo corner offer a completely custom bullet journal. There is a form to fill and then they do all the work of hand creating your bullet journal planner.

There are other companies that like agendio that allow you to create customization of their planner layouts. In a way you become the designer based on the options presented.

So it is up to you to work out what about of customization you want and how you will achieve it.

The difference between customized and personalized.

Customized vs personalized – what is the difference?

Generally customized means that you are changing the layouts and page design to suit your needs. Whereas personalized usually refers to taking an existing page and adding your own details to it, often with decorations that make the look of it your personal preference.

The cons and costs of a customized planner.

Cost.

Let’s not beat around the bush..

If you get someone else to do it for you then a custom planner cost is usually high.

I know you could expect to pay up to $100 for a custom planner.

Is there a way to get one cheaply?

I would suggest the cheapest way is to design and print your own planner. If you want to try that then read:

But there might be some options that are not too expensive for you. Shop around and you might find what you are looking for.

Cons.

The cons of a customized planner are few. In fact, I’m going to have to think hard to come up with any.

I guess the ones that are hand done are open to human error and mistakes.

Also if you are living in a small country you might have to go further away and then the shipping costs will be higher.

But that’s about it. Now let’s look at the custom planner benefits.

What are the benefits of a customized planner?

There are so many – here is a list:

Picture of a notice board with a notebook pinned to it that has ‘small business’ written in big letters. Around that there are smaller notes, some extra pins, etc. Then on the desk there are more notes and a calculator and other bits and pieces. Part of an article - What is a customized planner? • Less paper waste. If you are designing your own custom planner you will only have the pages and layouts that you will use. Therefore you are saving on paper waste and saving the environment.
  • More motivation. Yes that’s right, if you design your own planner you are much more likely to pick it up day after day and use it.
  • Supporting small business. These products are not mass produced, therefore you are most likely supporting a small business by getting your own custom planner.
  • Improved results. If you have the specific trackers and spreads that you want you will more likely get the results you want, rather than a planner that isn’t suited to you.

The verdict.

So do you need a customized planner?

Have I been able to convince you that you might want to embark on this journey of custom planners? Do you now feel inspired by the custom planner benefits?
